Maintaining the Fleet
Freight Runners Express mechanics are fully trained and qualified by the FAA to perform inspections, component overhauls and repairs on all aircraft types. Each mechanic holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate or Aircraft Inspector certificate. Lead mechanics are professionally trained in Montreal, Quebec at Pratt & Whitney Canada's heavy maintenance school for aircraft engines. This training qualifies them to conduct inspections and repairs on Pratt & Whitney jet-prop engines. All Aircraft Inspectors (IA's) receive annual FAA recurrent training. We operate full service maintenance bases at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee, Wisconsin. Our staff of 12 mechanics works on airframes, sheet metal, aircraft engines and avionics to keep the fleet of aircraft in peak operating condition.
